At Magician’s Way we highly recommend that participants in our Teacher Trainings read the following books to gain a complete foundation in the art of living a truly soul-inspired life.

The Magician’s Way – by William Whitecloud
I wrote this book to give my students a straight-forward insight into what it really takes to live your life as an expression of your highest potential. It reminds you, in an emotionally engaging way, that you truly are responsible for the outcomes in your life, and reveals the secrets to connecting with the supernatural ability within that can, and will, create the greatest results imaginable. It is a testimony to the secrets contained in this book that I used them to write it without any help, prior training or experience (while I was undergoing intensive chemotherapy) and, amazingly, it has become a number one metaphysical best seller in Australia.

The Path of Least Resistance – by Robert Fritz
A brilliant book by a brilliant man, this is a remarkable insight into the nature of creating based on Fritz’s observations of how energy always follows the path of least resistance, and how one can set up conscious structures that align your chosen end results with the path of least resistance. Today we are bombarded with theories on the subject of creating, manifestation and the like, but very few of these theories include the structures necessary for a grounded approach to consistently compelling chosen end results. If you want a functional creative foundation, you simply have to read this book.

The Kybalian – by Three Initiates
Apparently written by members of the New Thought movement of the nineteenth century, The Kybalion contains the purest wisdom on the subject of creating and transformation that I have ever come across. While on the surface the teachings are based on a simple set of metaphysical axioms, devoted contemplation of the principles will unfold a treasure of enlightened realization regarding the process of ascending to higher levels of consciousness. Once you’ve digested The Kybalion, you’ll understand why Hermetic Philosophy is considered to be the Alchemy par excellence.

The Enneagram – by Helen Palmer
To live life magically, one must loosen the false self’s grip on your mind and come to see life through the eyes of your true, magical self. The process of moving past your false self necessarily involves waking up to the dysfunctional world-view you’re entranced in. The Enneagram is an ancient personality typing system that brilliantly describes the limiting perceptions and behaviours of nine distinct archetypes. It is a phenomenal tool in helping you see through yourself. Helen Palmer is one of the most established authorities on the subject. Margaret Frings Keyes’ Emotions and the Enneagram is also highly recommended, if you can find a copy.

The Philosophers’ Secret Fire – by Patrick Harpur
A breathtaking journey through the history of humankinds’ relationship with the imagination, which as Harpur points out, is our soul, not merely the bridge to it. Secret Fire is a fascinating background to the science of creating reality, showing up modern psychology, new age thinking and rational science to be half-baked links in a golden chain of higher understanding, and not the leading edge of enlightenment they sometimes pose as. A great read that equips you with an exacting standard of measurement for essential truth.

Presence – by Peter Senge, C. Otto Scharmer, Joseph Jaworski, Betty Sue Flowers
A remarkable discussion on the emerging philosophy and practices of collective change by some of the world’s leading change agents. At the heart of this book lies Theory U, a dynamic process for adapting to or creating the new – a process that resonates very strongly with the time honoured principles and techniques taught at Magician’s Way. Very heartening to see magic principles being employed in keeping humankinds’ true purpose on track.
